CNN —A massive, out-of-control fire burning across both California and Nevada is generating extreme fire behavior, spawning “fire whirls” and creating dangerous conditions for firefighters, authorities said. Firefighters battling the blaze have seen fire whirls – “a vortex of flames and smoke that forms when intense heat and turbulent winds combine, creating a spinning column of fire,” the Mojave National Preserve said Sunday. A private jet company sued Twitter, alleging breach of contract and failure to pay for two flights. The flights were "urgent" and authorized ahead of Elon Musk's takeover, the lawsuit said. The publication was the first to report on PJS' lawsuit against Twitter, which was filed in the US District Court of New Hampshire. The private jet company later sent Twitter a bill for the two flights in early November, but alleges Twitter never paid. PJS said Twitter breached its contract by refusing to pay "under circumstances that make it reasonable for PJS to expect payment."

“I think it’s going to be significant,” Chuck Coughlin, an Arizona Republican pollster, said of the third-party impact on key Senate races. Angela McArdle, the chair of the Libertarian National Committee, said it’s not her party's job to protect Republican candidates who are alienating voters. "If Republicans fear that Libertarians are going to be spoilers, Republicans need to run more liberty-minded candidates," McArdle told NBC News. Much attention has been paid to the level of support third-party candidates can wrestle from the major party contenders in recent election cycles, particularly on the presidential level. "We have to wait to see the melt on these third-party candidates," he said.
