Netflix's "The Kings of Tupelo" is about an Elvis impersonator called Paul Kevin Curtis. AdvertisementThe three-part docuseries follows Paul Kevin Curtis, an Elvis impersonator from Tupelo, Mississippi, who was accused of using the poison ricin to try to assassinate Barack Obama in 2013. But when the media ignored him, Curtis approached James Everett Dutschke, a Wayne Newton impersonator, who also lived in Tupelo. This led to a feud between the two men, and Dutschke framed Curtis for attempting to assassinate Obama. New York CNN —Red Lobster wants to close several dozen more restaurants following its bankruptcy, and it has identified which ones are in danger of shutting down if the court approves its plan. Red Lobster said that it had more than $1 billion in debt and less than $30 million in cash on hand. Part of its plan is to close some locations of its nearly 600 restaurants in the meantime. A few weeks prior to its bankruptcy, it abruptly closed around 50 locations across the United States.

CNN —The recent and bizarre attempt to wrest control of Graceland, the Memphis, Tennessee, home of the late Elvis Presley, set off a number of red flags. But Elvis represents something different from Gilded Age robber barons such as Rockefeller and Carnegie, whose American Dream was fundamentally about the accumulation of wealth. “Seems we was always in debt,” recalled Gladys Presley, Elvis’s mother. Fans walk by the entrance to Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, on August 14, 2007, in Memphis, Tennessee. Immediately after moving into Graceland, Elvis, the ultimate consumer, began renovations.

Mr. Presley, 45, is one of three elected members of the state Public Service Commission, which regulates utilities, and is the former mayor of Nettleton, a small town in the bright-red northeast section of Mississippi. His most effective tactic is his unrelenting attack on Mr. Reeves and the welfare scandal that has swirled around him and the previous Republican governor, Phil Bryant. At the same time, the state was rejecting a large majority of requests from families for Mississippi’s meager $170 a month in welfare payments. Mr. Reeves was lieutenant governor when all this was going on, and several people at the center of the scandal have been his friends and supporters. That was all Mr. Presley needed.
Sheeran claimed Stewart altered elements from “Thinking Out Loud” in his analysis in order to prove his point. Sheeran is accused of copying “Let’s Get It On” by the heirs of Ed Townsend, who co-wrote the 1973 hit with Gaye. Townsend’s daughter Kathryn Townsend Griffin, sister Helen McDonald and the estate of his former wife, Cherrigale Townsend, are the listed plaintiffs on the “Thinking Out Loud” case. Gaye died in 1984 and Townsend died in 2003. When asked on the stand Monday what he would do if the plaintiffs win the case and own the chord progression, Sheeran said, “If that happens, I’m done.”–CNN’s Chloe Melas contributed to this report.
