CNN —Toyota is recalling 145,000 Lexus TX and Toyota Grand Highlander SUVs because of an issue that could cause one of the side curtain airbags to fail to deploy in some situations.
The curtain airbag on the driver’s side may not deploy properly “during certain crashes” if the driver’s side window is rolled down, according to a statement shared by Toyota Thursday.
Toyota did not provide details on the type of situation in which the problem might occur.
Both the Lexus TX and Toyota Grand Highlander are new models that went on sale last year.
