Arab and Muslim voters moved away from the Democratic Party this year in ways that led some community leaders to warn of a lasting shift from a voting bloc that has been reliably Democratic for two decades since it abandoned the GOP. Muslim voters backed Republican George W. Bush in 2000, but fled the GOP in response to the Bush administration’s post-9/11 military interventions abroad and anti-terror policies at home, which they felt unfairly targeted people of Islamic faith. In the two decades since then, Muslim Americans have broken roughly 2-to-1 for Democrats, while groups representing the community institutionally aligned themselves with Democrats, much like other groups representing voters of color. Nationally, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, one of the largest Muslim advocacy groups in the country, which has been sharply critical of Biden’s foreign policy, conducted its own postelection survey of Muslim voters. “Our pleas, demands and warnings were ignored by President Biden and then by Vice President Harris.

“A complete jump ball,” said Dennis Lennox, a Republican strategist who works in Michigan. “Nobody really knows what will happen.”Beyond the suburbs, Republicans see opportunities to peel off traditionally Democratic voters, like Black men. ET, the X account belonging to Trump's daughter-in-law, Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump appeared to announce that the digital currency project, dubbed World Liberty Financial, had been launched. One minute later, Donald Trump's youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump's X account also posted an endorsement and a website link. All of which makes it nearly impossible for the public to trace the identity of the person behind the fake World Liberty Financial sites. A few minutes after Lara Trump's posts, her husband, Donald Trump's son Eric Trump, appeared to use his own X account to write "This is a scam!!" All of these posts, including Eric Trump's warning, have since been deleted.

On the final night of the Republican convention, just in time for her husband’s official nomination as his party’s presidential candidate, Melania Trump finally took her place by his side — sort of. She was the last Trump family member to make her entrance at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, stoking the will-she-or-won’t-she anticipation to the end, arriving well after Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, who have also been largely absent during the campaign; Don Jr. and his fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle; Eric Trump and his wife, Lara; and Tiffany Trump and her husband, Michael Boulos. (Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son with Melania, did not appear, but assorted grandchildren did.) She walked in alone, in a red suit and towering red heels, hair down, bestowing queenly waves on an adoring crowd.

As President Biden’s support among Arab and Muslim Americans withers over his backing of Israel in the war in Gaza, former President Donald J. Trump is making a long-shot push to take advantage. On Tuesday, Richard Grenell, a former high-ranking official in the Trump administration, met for more than two hours with a group of about 40 Arab and Muslim American leaders at an Italian restaurant outside Detroit. Mr. Grenell was joined by the former president’s son-in-law Michael Boulos, who is married to Tiffany Trump and is Lebanese American, though the Trump campaign said it had not organized the meeting. Many Arab and Muslim American voters have said they are so angry with Mr. Biden over his Israel policy that they will sit out the election, despite supporting him in large numbers in 2020. But Mr. Grenell told the group that it had the chance to exercise extraordinary political power by backing Mr. Trump instead, according to six people who attended the meeting.

Barron joins several other family members – Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump – who were also selected. Before Donald Trump’s hush money criminal trial began, his attorneys had asked for May 17 off so that he could attend Barron’s graduation. The Republican National Committee will hold its convention in Milwaukee in July. Last month, the RNC asked the Secret Service to keep protesters farther back from the convention than is currently planned.

“She’ll definitely have a role, but in terms of what that is, I don’t know,” a source close to the Trump campaign said. They assume Melania Trump will have some role – yet it has not been set. Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump were there. That absence has only been heightened by her husband, who has been promising she’ll be on the campaign trail soon. “She loves our country very much,” Donald Trump told NBC’s Kristen Welker in an interview in September.

Donald Trump, Jr., and Eric Trump are executive vice presidents at the Trump Organization. AdvertisementSince January of 2017, Donald Trump, Jr., and Eric Trump have run their father's real-estate empire as "co-CEOs," as lawyers for New York's attorney general like to call it. "I was focused on pouring concrete," Eric Trump had said in a pre-trial deposition, during which he pleaded the Fifth some 500 times. Like his little brother, Don Trump, Jr., was guarded when called to the witness stand. In the litigation with the New York attorney general's office, Eric Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. have been primarily represented by Clifford S. Robert.

New Jersey, therefore, is set to become the new go-to spot for the GOP right around the time that the DeSantis campaign kicks off. The DeSantis political operation declined to share details of the governor's plans, including formal rollouts and events that may come later.
Melania Trump is pushing back on reports about how she's processing her husband's indictment. The statement also did not reveal her state of mind over her husband's alleged infidelity or the public scrutiny of their 18-year marriage. The New York Post's Page Six separately reported that Melania Trump agreed to play a bigger part in her husband's 2024 campaign. The publication quoted an anonymous source recounting that Donald Trump pleaded with his wife to join him on the campaign, telling her, "I really need you." Ivanka Trump was also notably absent from the Mar-a-Lago event on April 4, though his other children, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, and Baron Trump attended, as did Viktor Knavs, Melania Trump's father.
Neither Melania nor Ivanka Trump were seen during Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago speech Tuesday. Donald Jr, Eric and Tiffany Trump all showed up to hear the former president speak. While Donald Jr, Eric and Tiffany Trump and their partners were seen in the ballroom, his wife and eldest daughter were notably absent. During his speech, Trump singled out several family members for praise, including Ivanka — but notably didn't mention his absent wife, a transcript of the speech shows. Speaking about the "fantastic job" his "great family" have done, he indicated Donald Jr, Eric, Ivanka, and Barron Trump, per the paper.
Donald Trump hosted Alexandre Arnault and his wife at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. He called Arnault a "young man on the move" and lauded his father, LVMH chief Bernard Arnault. "It was great having Alex Arnault of LVMH, and his wonderful wife, Géraldine, for dinner at Mar-a-Lago," Trump posted on Truth Social on Wednesday. "He is a young man on the move, the son of one of the great businessmen and leaders in Europe, and in the World," Trump wrote of Arnault, who is 30. It is unclear why Trump decided to host Arnault and his wife at Mar-a-Lago this week, or why they went.
Former President Donald Trump confused E. Jean Carroll, the writer who has accused him of rape, with ex-wife Marla Maples in a photo he was shown during a deposition, newly unsealed court documents show. "That's Marla, yeah. Trump lawyer Alina Habba corrected the mistake, saying, "No, that's Carroll." Trump, who has launched a 2024 presidential bid, asked a federal judge to dismiss Carroll's lawsuit last week. In the earlier excerpt, Trump denied the allegations and repeatedly insulted Carroll, calling her a “whack job” who’s “not my type."
Former President Donald Trump's net worth is estimated to be $3.2 billion, according to Forbes. Combine that with the reported individual net worths of the Trump children, and the entire Trump family could be worth over $4 billion. And that's not to mention the individual net worths of his adult children: a reported $25 million each for both Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, according to Forbes; and a reported $600,000 for Tiffany Trump, according to Cheat Sheet. Ivanka Trump, who runs her own business, has the largest net worth of all the children. From pricey penthouses and expensive schooling to high-end shopping and a full-on aviation fleet, here's how they spend their money.
Friends and family close to former President Donald Trump were present for his 2024 announcement. Also absent were three of Trump's children, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Tiffany Trump. Trump loyalists in attendance included his former adviser Roger Stone and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. Also in attendance were Trump family members Barron Trump, Eric Trump and his wife Lara, and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, who were all seen walking into the event together. Donald Trump launched his 2024 run in front of a crowd of people in Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday. Some people tried to leave the event early — but were stopped by security, two ABC reporters said. ABC reporter Jonathan Karl said Trump's just-over-an-hour speech was "low energy." But his speech — which lasted just over an hour — prompted some of his supporters to leave early, according to ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl, who was in the room. Notably, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump were not there.

Trump tried to persuade Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner to join his 2024 launch, per the NY Post. Both Ivanka Trump and Kushner have long signaled that they're done with politics. But Kushner and Ivanka Trump have long signaled they are not keen to rejoin the fray of politics. Ivanka Trump is "done" with Washington, DC, another source told CNN. In early September, Kushner told Sky News that he's "enjoying the private sector" too much to jump back in.
