CNN —When my mom died, I spent a lot of time trying to stuff away my grief.
My mother felt the weight of cancer, but she insisted on continuing to live in her wholehearted way.
I was worried the Pacific Crest Trail run would be too much.
But as I kept training, I discovered that running was one of the best places to process my grief.
