CNN —Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti is looking into the attempted foreclosure auction of Elvis Presley’s iconic Memphis home, known as Graceland, by an alleged private investment company. On Wednesday, Naussany Investments and Private Lending LLC dropped its foreclosure efforts against Graceland. Danielle Riley Keough, Presley’s granddaughter and heir, filed a lawsuit earlier this month to halt the foreclosure sale claiming Naussany Investment’s paperwork was bogus and an attempt to defraud the family. Naussany Investments produced paperwork that Lisa Marie Presley defaulted on a $3.8 million loan, prior to her 2023 passing, and used Graceland as collateral, according to court documents. Even the notary public whose name appeared on the disputed document, told the court in an affidavit that they had never notarized Lisa Marie Presley’s signature.

A 19-year-old worker suffered "fatal injuries" after cleaning out a concrete mixer, the Department of Labor says. The machine restarted while he was inside, the DOL said. The DOL called his death a "preventable tragedy" and proposed penalties totalling $245,546. "As one of the workers left the mixer, the machine restarted with the other inside," causing him to suffer "fatal injuries," the DOL said. He called the worker's death a "preventable tragedy."

Ralphie spent time with the Niagara SPCA this year after two owners decided he was too much to handle. Health officials in Tennessee say they will reject federal funding for groups that provide services to residents living with HIV. He is concerned that Tennessee health officials are setting a dangerous precedent. Millet said that the CDC provides Tennessee as much as $10 million in HIV funding. Former "American Idol" runner-up Willie Spence died following a car accident on Tuesday, according to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Spence, 23, finished as runner-up to Chayce Beckham in the show's 19th season, which aired last year. Just hours before the crash, Spence posted a video of himself singing "You Are My Hiding Place" on his Instagram page. Katharine McPhee Foster, who finished as the runner-up on season five of "Idol" and performed a duet with Spence on season 19, posted news of the death to her Instagram story. Spence planned to perform at a show in London next month, according to a post on his Instagram.

"Nitazenes are an emerging group of highly potent psychoactive substances" that are often left out of drug screening tests, the report's authors wrote. The highly potent opioids has been found in street drugs across the Midwest and Northeast since 2019, but has since spread to other states. She and her colleagues have recently begun to detect nitazenes in illicit drug samples gathered across the state. The drug has also been linked to reports of skin abscesses, not unlike cases seen in other injectable drug users.
