Siddharth Taparia: I started at JLL in 2021, so that was, I think technically right in the middle of the pandemic. But at the same time, also introducing the company to new clients that might have never had the opportunity to work with us. Over that period, so since 2022, our pipeline contribution from marketing is up 3x. Our revenue contribution — so that's the conversion of that pipeline — is up 4x. And that gives us very credible ways of being able to go back and compare what revenue we were able to get and what the contribution of marketing was in that process.

Siddharth Taparia: When it comes to marketing, I think one of the things that is top of mind for everybody is artificial intelligence. Siddharth Taparia, I'm the global chief marketing officer for JLL, which is a Fortune 200 commercial real estate company. So our AI journey really started when Chat GPT was first launched, I believe it was November of 2022. So we started talking and experimenting and playing with all the different tools that were becoming available in the marketplace. The whole process from start to finish would've taken anywhere from four to six weeks.

Task associates and paralegals are among the loneliest jobs in the country, a new study shows. Task associates, who stock merchandise in retail stores, reported the highest levels of loneliness, according to a new study from Solitaired. "While that might sound like a job beaming with human interaction with customers, it's not always the case," the study's author, Neal Taparia, told Business Insider. Senior paralegals, in particular, ranked as the second loneliest job, suggesting that the higher up the corporate ladder someone is, the lonelier they might be. And paralegal roles have evolved over the years to include substantive legal work — without the title or pay grade of a full-time lawyer.

It’s Time to Break Up With ‘Indian Matchmaking’

She is not one to suffer from impostor syndrome or even, apparently, introspection, so her matchmaking methodology remains resolutely unchanged. In India, the business of parents seeking brides and grooms for their children is a cruel and cutthroat one, having originated as a way to preserve caste endogamy. “Indian Matchmaking” bills itself as just any other show about the caprices of trying to find love in a hostile world. The most pernicious aspects are hidden behind a flimsy veneer of fabricated gentility, apparent in the many euphemistic phrases in which Taparia, the singles she is matching and their parents communicate. The show’s title itself reads like an awkward, faux-anthropological translation, when in reality, the Indian here in “Indian Matchmaking” is merely a stand-in for outrageously wealthy, landed upper-caste Hindus (with an exception here and there).

NEW DELHI/BENGALURU, Nov 21 (Reuters) - India launched a crack down on Monday against fake reviews and unverified ratings in a bid to make online interaction and e-commerce more authentic and less misleading for users. Some companies have been criticised by consumers and various industry experts for downplaying negative reviews, or accepting fake ratings, making the vetting process difficult for buyers. The Department of Consumer Affairs set up a committee in June to develop a framework on checking fake and deceptive reviews in e-commerce, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution said. Online companies say they have internal checks in place to combat fake reviews, but currently failure to do so is not a compliance breach. If the guidelines become mandatory, companies could face action for unfair trade practice, for suppressing negative reviews or for enabling planting of fake reviews, Taparia said.
"What ESG investing is, is very simply put, an incorporation of publicly available data into investment processes," Noack said. Small but controversialSome investors like Noack have pointed out that debates surrounding ESG investing may be getting more attention than they deserve. However, grouping all ESG funds into one classification is too wide-ranging, Todd Rosenbluth, head of research at VettaFi, said in the same segment. The SPDR S&P 500 ESG ETF (EFIV) tracks an index designed to select S&P 500 companies meeting ESG criteria, while the Xtrackers MSCI USA ESG Leaders Equity ETF (USSG) corresponds to the performance of its underlying index. The Xtrackers S&P 500 ESG ETF (SNPE) , for instance, doesn't target the 25% worst S&P 500 companies from an ESG perspective of each industry group.
