If you're looking for a career that pays well, doesn't require a bachelor's degree and offers strong job security, you might want to consider a job in the skilled trades. Close to a third (35%) of the fastest-growing jobs in the U.S. are in the skilled trades, with more than 1.5 million new jobs expected between now and 2032, according to the latest numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. "As people continue to search for higher-paying jobs with low barriers to entry, blue-collar jobs have had a resurgence in interest — especially among Gen Z," he added. Though many blue-collar jobs don't require a four-year degree, most roles require certifications, licensing and, in some cases, extensive on-the-job training. The pay limit has been in place since the end of a labor dispute that caused the cancellation of the entire 2004-05 NHL season. Sports business experts said the strict salary cap has helped the league's financial health since the full season stoppage. The hard salary cap is a stark difference from Major League Baseball and the National Basketball Association, which have no salary cap and a soft salary cap, respectively. But the hard cap means NHL teams have to be especially diligent. The NHL is planning to start negotiations with the NHLPA in early 2025, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said at this year's NHL Board of Governors meeting.

CNN —Paul Teal, a film and TV actor known best for his role in the CW’s teen soap ‘One Tree Hill,’ has died, according to a statement from his agent Susan Tolar Walters. Teal died on Friday “after a courageous battle with cancer,” Walters’ statement, provided to CNN on Monday, said. Teal is best known for appearing on Season 7 of the hit teen romance series “One Tree Hill” in 2010. Teal’s “One Tree Hill” co-star Bethany Joy Lenz remembered him as “the kind of guy who lit up a room without trying” in a statement posted to her Instagram page. Lenz said she first met Teal while they worked on the musical production of “The Notebook” that she produced in 2006, wherein Teal starred as the lead character Noah Calhoun, before they reconnected on the “One Tree Hill” set in 2010.
