Buenos Aries CNN —The body of British musician Liam Payne, who died Wednesday in Buenos Aires, will not be delivered to his family until authorities conclude the final clinical tests, a source told CNN Saturday. Geoff Payne, father of the former One Direction singer, arrived in Buenos Aires on Friday. The source told CNN authorities allowed Payne to see his son’s body in the morgue. Strong, potentially damaging winds and storm surge are likely near where the system ultimately comes ashore. Hurricane and tropical storm watches are already in effect for parts of Mexico and Cuba. The “storm surge, wind, and rainfall impacts will extend well away from the center, particularly to the east of the system.

CNN —A critical highway linking Idaho and Wyoming has closed indefinitely after a portion of the road cracked and then collapsed in a “catastrophic landslide” Saturday, officials said. Mark Gordon said in a post on Facebook there is no estimated timeline for reopening Teton Pass, which links Victor, Idaho, and Jackson, Wyoming. CNN —Constance Glantz had been in a nursing home – in hospice care. No evidence of criminal intent had been found, Chief Deputy Ben Houchin told reporters. CNN —The search for three people missing after a landslide covered an Alaskan highway on Monday is moving “from an active search to a reactive search,” Alaskan authorities said. Rescuers have so far found the remains of three people who died after the landslide hit the Zimovia Highway, near Wrangell, around 9 p.m. Monday evening. Authorities may restart the active search if new evidence shows the missing people might be in a specific area, they said.
