A little more than 10 years ago, Bologna, my Italian hometown, was not really considered a big tourist destination. Budget airlines, short-term rentals and social media changed everything. These days Bologna is on its way to becoming a full-blown, must-avoid-the-main-roads kind of tourist city. But one result has been very particular to Bologna: the consumption of mind-numbing, heart-stopping amounts of mortadella. When I asked the shop assistant how ancient they were, she replied that they had been open for three months.

This summer, a shocking shade of lime green seems to have taken over. On Etsy, shoppers and sellers alike have eagerly hopped on the trend. Search Etsy for "brat" and you'll see over 1,000 results for brat-themed shirts, stickers, buttons, stationery and more. Others pair the brat green with different cultural phenomena like Taylor Swift lyrics, or increasingly, homages to Vice President Kamala Harris. Here's how Etsy sellers are getting in on the action.

As Mr. Hirschfeld examined the collagelike boards, he recalled a meeting about the design of new children’s invitations. Mr. Hirschfeld, 38, with his older sister, Alexa Hirschfeld, 40, started Paperless Post in 2009, when they were 23 and 25. He was a senior at Harvard and she was working at CBS as a second assistant to the anchor Katie Couric. Paperless Post has also earned fans in the heritage stationery businesses it sought to disrupt, collaborating with brands like Crane and Cheree Berry on digital products.

London CNN —A work contract signed by Diana Spencer two years before she married the then-Prince of Wales is expected to fetch thousands of dollars at auction. The document was filled out in black ink by the young woman who would go on to become world famous as Princess Diana. The job contract, believed to be Princess Diana’s first, was filled out when she was just 17. The document, which is expected to sell for up to $10,000, is thought to be the late princess’ first official work contract. This contract is one of the last remaining snapshots of Diana’s life before she was thrust into the spotlight.

My mom and my aunt are estranged, but I've been close with my aunt since I was young. That year my aunt and I decided to start writing letters since I didn't have my own phone. I've never known exactly why my mom and aunt don't talkWhen I asked my mom why we didn't see her, she'd vaguely reply, "She was always kind of mean to me," or, "We just don't." As my aunt and I began to speak more, I gathered breadcrumbs of what happened between her and my mom. After graduating from Catholic school, my mom abandoned religion, yet my aunt consistently attends church.

The self-made billionaire, who was once China’s richest man, died of an illness on Sunday at the age of 79, his company Hangzhou Wahaha Group said in a brief statement, without providing further details. Victory in that bitter battle boosted Zong’s wealth to $8 billion, making him China’s richest man in 2010 and again in 2012, according to Forbes. He was nicknamed “the richest man in cloth shoes” for always sporting plain black shoes, complete with a dark jacket and slacks. That year, Zong founded the Hangzhou Wahaha Group after acquiring a failing state-run canned food factory. The dispute was eventually settled in 2009, with Danone selling its stake for about $500 million and ceding all control to Wahaha.

So when Taft accused Truman — not long after his “special” train had stopped in Crestline — of going around the country on this campaign train tour “blackguarding (attacking) Congress at every whistle-stop,” Truman embraced the opportunity. Altogether, Segal has cataloged about 180 campaign train trips throughout U.S. history — from William Henry Harrison to Joe Biden, with dozens of presidents, vice presidents, first ladies, representatives, senators and governors in between. The project was inspired by Segal's personal experience organizing a whistle-stop campaign tour for Republican U.S. Rep. Mickey Edwards of Oklahoma, for whom he was serving as press secretary in 1984. Sometimes campaign trains were used in creative ways, too, as when comedian Gracie Allen pretended to run for president in 1940, as the nation was recovering from the Great Depression. In 1972, Winnie the Pooh launched a bid for the White House from Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A., then went on a two-week whistle-stop tour with his trusted advisers, Tigger and Eeyore.

How cuteness has taken over our world — and why — is a subject being explored in “Cute,” a new (and the first ever) exhibition devoted to the movement at London’s Somerset House. The Industrial Revolution and the rise of mass production allowed cuteness to be unleashed on the world — toys, books and illustrations could, increasingly, be made easily and cheaply. The exhibition — a world first — examines the enduring appeal of the cute aesthetic amongst adults and asks deeper questions about its allure. For Simon May, a professor of philosophy at King’s College London and author of “The Power of Cute,” kawaii is just part of a story which involves the country of Japan more broadly. The Edwardian artist is credited with increasing the cute appeal of our feline friends by giving them human hobbies and pastimes.

NINETEEN STEPS, by Millie Bobby Brown with Kathleen McGurlOn the evening of Wednesday, March 3, 1943, 173 men, women and children lost their lives descending the steps — 19 of them — to an underground air raid shelter in East London. It was the largest civilian tragedy of the war and yet it was a mystery how it happened. However, after all that East London had endured during the Blitz, to be blamed for panicking at this point was intolerable and unfair. The residents of Bethnal Green demanded an inquiry. I first learned of the Bethnal Green tube station disaster almost 25 years ago when I was living in London.
