Energy drink maker Red Bull said Monday it is investigating Christian Horner, the team principal of its championship Formula One team, over an allegation of misconduct toward a team employee. “After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation,” the company said in a statement. Horner has guided Red Bull and driver Max Verstappen to three consecutive championships for both the team and driver. The 50-year-old Horner has been Red Bull team principal since it entered F1 as a full constructor in 2005. He has guided the team to six constructors’ championships and seven drivers’ championships during his time at the top.

CNN —Victoria Beckham may not have fully “hung up” her microphone after all. The fashion designer and former Spice Girl, also known as “Posh Spice,” serenaded a small room full of cheering friends – including her husband, soccer star David Beckham – with an iconic Spice Girls track, as seen in a video of the impromptu performance that she shared on her TikTok over the weekend. Microphone in hand, Beckham was seen singing the girl group’s hit 1996 track “Say You’ll be There” while dancing with husband David, who was also joyfully singing along to every word. The British girl group released their debut album “Spice” in 1996, and went on a hiatus in 2000 to pursue solo careers. The last time all five members of the Spice Girls performed together was in 2012 at the London Olympics opening ceremony.

BIRMINGHAM, England, May 5 (Reuters) - HSBC (HSBA.L) faced down opposition to its strategy and climate policy at a fractious annual investor meeting in Birmingham in England on Friday, including a shareholder proposal to spin-off its lucrative Asia business backed by major investor Ping An. Shareholder Lui questioned HSBC's board directly at the meeting on Friday, prompting the bank's chairman Mark Tucker to say criticism of the bank's performance showed "a fundamental misunderstanding of HSBC's business." HSBC's Tucker told the meeting that any break-up of the bank would undermine its global strategy and dent its revenue, repeating the bank's argument that it would be risky and costly. "So it would not be in shareholders' interests to split the bank," Tucker said. Like Barclays' investor meeting earlier this week, HSBC's event was repeatedly interrupted by climate campaigners singing songs, while one protester stood up at the front of the hall with a banner reading 'No more dirty coal'.
