One such creative, YouTuber Marques Brownlee, wants to know if his videos were used to train Sora. But as part of his Sora review, Brownlee didn't sugarcoat his skepticism, especially when it comes to how the model was trained. Sora added a small fake plant in the video, eerily matching his own fake plant in the real world. AdvertisementMarques Brownlee's Sora review. Marques Brownlee's Sora review.

OpenAI said Monday it's releasing its buzzy AI video-generation tool, Sora, later in the day. The AI video-generation model works similarly to OpenAI's image-generation AI tool, DALL-E: A user types out a desired scene, and Sora will return a high-definition video clip. The Microsoft-backed artificial intelligence startup, which burst into the mainstream last year thanks to the viral popularity of ChatGPT, introduced Sora in February. OpenAI said users don't need to pay extra for the tool, which will be included in existing ChatGPT accounts such as Plus and Pro. With Sora, the ChatGPT maker is looking to compete with video-generation AI tools from companies such as Meta and Google, which announced Lumiere in January.

Read previewThe AI community assumes that OpenAI uses vast quantities of YouTube videos to train models, including its new Sora offering. The mystery is how OpenAI accesses enough YouTube content to make this work. Business Insider asked OpenAI whether it has downloaded YouTube videos at scale and whether the startup uses this content as data for AI model training. Google, OpenAI, and other tech companies are currently arguing that using copyrighted content for AI model training is also legal. And when pressed again about sources of training data, Murati replied, "I'm not going to go into the details."

The investment analyst team led by Gary Yu has a $140 price target and overweight rating on Baidu's U.S.-listed shares. "We believe the current AI cloud integration between Galaxy AI and Ernie is just the first step," Yu said. For all the interest in AI stocks, China markets this year are still grappling with worries about whether Beijing is doing enough to support economic growth. They have a price target of 160 yuan on Shanghai-listed shares of Cambricon — upside of 12% from Friday's levels. They have a price target of 380 yuan on Shanghai-listed Kingsoft, up more than 50% from Friday's levels.

The potential of AI convinced Tyler Perry to halt an $800 million expansion of his studios. Perry made the decision after seeing OpenAI's tool Sora, which can create complex video scenes. Perry warned that AI could threaten many jobs in the film industry. The $800 million project would have added 12 sound stages, backlots, sets, and more to the 330-acre property, which already ranks as one of the largest production facilities in the country. But the speed and sophistication of new AI technology, like OpenAI's new video tool Sora, convinced Perry to reconsider the expansion.

NEW YORK (AP) — The maker of ChatGPT is now diving into AI-generated video. The model can also generate video from an existing still image. Getting an AI system to generate videos is newer and more challenging but relies on some of the same technology. Still, industry analysts stress the apparent quality and and impressive length of Sora videos shared so far. Although Sora's abilities have astounded observers since Thursday's launch, anxiety over ethical and societal implications of AI-generated video uses also remains.

Fury was popping in the jabs freely in the second round, with Chisora unsteady on his legs in the third when both fighters tumbled accidentally to the canvas. "Total dominance," said former WBA champion David Haye, commentating ringside for BT Sport after six rounds of pummelling. "Where's Oleksandr Usyk, the rabbit?," Fury roared at the crowd. "I needed some rounds," said Fury, whose last fight was a sixth-round stoppage of compatriot Dillian Whyte at Wembley in April. Chisora thanked the referee for taking matters into his own hands.
