But the list that the prime minister Boris Johnson compiled as he was being chased from office last summer threatens to become an inconvenience for King Charles — perhaps even a scandal. On his way out the door, Mr. Johnson reportedly assembled a list of lords- and ladies-to-be that stretched to almost 100 names — a historically large number. The list reportedly included three politicians who had shown unusual loyalty to Mr. Johnson. It has real political power, if not as much as the House of Commons.
