San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was activated for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs less than two months after he was shot in the chest.
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan shared the news with reporters Friday, nfl.com reported.
He’s been around the guys for a while now, so it’s not like he hasn’t been around, but practicing all week,” Shanahan said, according to the site.
A 17-year-old has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a semi-automatic firearm and second-degree attempted robbery, prosecutors have said.
San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott has said the armed suspect approached Pearsall to rob him and that there was a struggle that resulted in the gun being fired.
