There may be more upside to Dutch Bros in 2023 investors expect, according to Wedbush. Analyst Nick Setyan upgraded shares of the drive-thru coffee franchise to outperform from neutral. "We view BROS' current valuation as an overly pessimistic assessment of its medium- and long-term annual growth algorithm," Setyan added. Setyan also thinks that Dutch Bros' strong rewards program will also help drive revenue. Shares of Dutch Bros were up 3.8% Wednesday morning following the upgrade.
One fast-casual restaurant chain has remained a favorite on Wall Street even as the U.S. grapples with a potential looming recession. Over the past 15 months, the burrito chain has introduced three rounds of price increases that boosted the cost of its products 13% from a year earlier. In addition, many Wall Street analysts are forecasting a mild recession, which is better for fast-casual restaurants as the hope is consumers won't have to pull back very much or for very long. Potential for growth Another reason that Wall Street likes Chipotle is that it has solid potential for growth in the coming months and years, according to Zackfia. Overall, however, Wall Street sees fast-casual restaurants holding up to economic weakness.

BTIG Starbucks' investor day "lived up to expectations," according to BTIG analysts Peter Saleh and Ben Parente. Ivankoe noted that, in December 2016, Starbucks released a five-year strategic plan that called for annual EPS growth between 15% and 20%. "We think investors had also expected more conservative guidance to provide room for the incoming CEO and return to a beat & raise story," the analysts wrote. Wedbush Wedbush analysts Nick Setyan and Michael Symington were more muted in their reaction to Starbucks' investor day. China, a view that, to us, seems equally out of place given ongoing global macro headwinds," the analysts wrote.
