The urban forager Aly Stoffo leads excursions on Staten Island through her business, Glam Gardener NYC, and is a regular at farmers’ markets across New York and New Jersey, where she sells teas and tinctures made with the plants she harvests.
Her Sundays can be chaotic.
Ms. Stoffo, 28, is among five Staten Islanders whose portrait was painted by the artist Sarah Yuster for “Vulnerable Landscapes,” an exhibition that runs through December at the Staten Island Museum.
The portraits highlight the work of locals working to promote a deeper understanding of the island’s flora, fauna and ecology.
She lives in her childhood home with her father and older brother.
