A small handful of Republican senators would be needed to defect in order to block Gaetz’s nomination when the party controls the Senate majority next year. GOP senators could pay a price for a prolonged confirmation fightIf Trump sticks with his pick, Republican senators feeling the MAGA movement’s pressure could be forced to defend Gaetz for weeks. He then looked at the diverging fortunes of those restaurants that went on to receive a Michelin star — a signifier of excellence in the industry. By 2019, Sands found that restaurants given a Michelin star were more likely to shutter. The publicity created around an award such as a Michelin star drives interest. But he pointed out that even if they ultimately failed, the Michelin restaurants that closed in Sands' research generally had a pretty good run. Trivariate Research is laying out some U.S. companies that could win big in China's latest stimulus deal. Last week, China's central bank released a raft of support measures to help stimulate economic growth and boost a struggling real estate market in the second-largest economy in the world. "We see the China stimulus as an incremental positive to risk-taking," wrote Trivariate founder Adam Parker in a note to clients. Trivariate is not the only firm that views commodity stocks as potential beneficiaries, with Morgan Stanley recently naming Freeport in its shopping list for commodity stocks. Gaming stocks could also win big with China's stimulus deal.
