The answer is muni bonds." Seeking opportunities In the muni bond space, investors who can stomach price volatility could be rewarded by taking on issues that have longer maturities. "I like the long end [of the municipal yield curve] because unlike the Treasury curve, the muni curve has some slope to it, and it's steeper than the Treasury curve," said Malloy. In 1979, former President Jimmy Carter did himself significant political damage in an extraordinary address to the nation on the energy crisis. Carter listed criticisms of his presidency, painting a picture of a listless nation trapped in a moral and spiritual funk. We can see this crisis in the growing doubt about the meaning of our own lives and in the loss of a unity of purpose for our nation,” Carter said. The actor-turned-California governor pulled off a stunning landslide on Election Day 1980, winning 489 electoral votes. Authorities this week said they want to find anyone involved in the installation of climbing bolts at the site of an ancient outdoor engraving in northeastern Utah. The sheriff’s office characterized the installation as having taken place on the petroglyph panel. Collaborator Steven Simms, a Utah State University anthropologist, is quoted by the museum as stating some of the state's petroglyphs represent "persistence, reformulation, and integration of art, iconography, and ideology among peoples." The federal public defender's office for Utah did not immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday night. "BLM law enforcement is asking the public to report any information they may have identifying the person(s) responsible for this incident," the sheriff's office there said in its Thursday statement.
