Ukrainian forces retook it in a lightning counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region last September.
But since then, Russian forces have constantly pounded the area with artillery, making it practically impossible to go back to everyday life.
Farther south, in the eastern Donetsk region, Ukrainian officials said on Tuesday that five people died in Russian strikes.
The prosecutor’s office of the Donetsk region said on Telegram that Russian forces had most likely used cluster munitions in their attack.
Both Russia and Ukraine have used the controversial weapons, which are known to cause indiscriminate harm to civilians.
