After several exchanges about a possible interview, the publisher sent an unusual demand last week: an interview would cost $250,000. Melania Trump’s spokesperson declined comment. Spokespeople for ABC, NBC and CBS declined to comment on whether they received a similar request for payment from Trump’s publisher. The fluffy Chow Chow dogs painted to resemble the country’s beloved national animal were seen in a video shot by a visitor to the zoo in southern Guangdong province. “These are Chow Chow dogs being painted (as pandas), as this is part of our specialties.”Visitors to a zoo in China's southern Guangdong province feed a Chow Chow dog painted to resemble a panda. New York CNN —A number of viral TikTok videos had some people believing they could get “free” cash from Chase ATMs. The problem is that this is just a form of check fraud, a criminal offense. In the case of the viral videos, participants wrote checks for obscene amounts of money and then withdrew as much as they could before the check could bounce. “Regardless of what you see online, depositing a fraudulent check and withdrawing the funds from your account is fraud, plain and simple,” a Chase spokesperson said. CNN —Alleged Sinaloa cartel co-founder Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, in a statement released by his attorney, reiterated the claim he was “ambushed” and “kidnapped” by a son of notorious drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán and hand-delivered to US authorities. In a room with a table topped with fruit, Zambada said, Joaquín Guzmán gestured for the cartel boss to follow him to a dark room nearby. He said he was driven to a landing strip and forced onto a private plane, where Joaquín Guzmán removed his hood and bound him to a seat using zip ties. CNN —Hundreds of votes were cast fraudulently for one finalist in the prestigious Hugo Awards, which honors the best science fiction and fantasy works of the previous year, its administrative team has revealed. The Hugo Awards can only be voted on by members of the World Science Fiction Society, who gather at annual conventions commonly known as “Worldcon,” which brings together science fiction enthusiasts from around the globe.
