I drove two Rolls-Royces: a traditional gas-powered one and a new electric model. The electric Spectre takes Rolls-Royce comfort and quietness to the next level. The gas-powered Ghost sedan is fabulous too, featuring an extravagant interior. But at an event marking the Spectre's launch I drove it and a gas-fueled Ghost sedan (worth around $400,000) to see how they stack up. They're both spectacular in almost every way, but there's one key reason I think the Spectre is the ultimate Rolls-Royce.

LONDON — Plans to reduce the significant environmental effects of aviation took a step forward this week after Rolls-Royce and easyJet said they had carried out the ground test of a jet engine that used hydrogen produced from tidal and wind power. The test, which was carried out at an outdoor site in the U.K., used a converted regional aircraft engine from London-listed Rolls-Royce. "This is a true British success story, with the hydrogen being used to power the jet engine today produced using tidal and wind energy from the Orkney Islands of Scotland," Shapps added. Using hydrogen to power an internal combustion engine is different to hydrogen fuel cell technology, where hydrogen from a tank mixes with oxygen, generating electricity.

Around 120,000 employees will receive an "exceptional premium" in their next payroll, a spokesperson for Airbus told Insider. Rolls-Royce — whose engines are used in several Airbus planes — gave thousands of employees a cash bonus equivalent to $2,500 and a back-dated pay rise in June. Later the same month, Big Four accountancy firm PwC said it had increased its annual bonus pool by $12.3 million amid rising living costs.
