The Many Links Between Project 2025 and Trump’s WorldFormer president Donald J. Trump has repeatedly claimed that he had nothing to do with Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation’s conservative policy initiative to reshape the federal government. But Project 2025 has numerous ties to Mr. Trump and his campaign, a New York Times analysis has found. L. ZorcJump to the full list of authors, editors and contributorsSpokespeople for Project 2025 have denied that they are advocates for any particular candidate, and Project 2025 has no official ties to the Trump campaign. To limit the appearance of connection, Mr. Trump’s transition team has been excluding prominent people linked to Project 2025 from its preparations. Project 2025 additionally calls for the dismantling of the federal Education Department, which Mr. Trump has also pledged to do.

Johnson & Johnson is signing off on a new logo. The health care giant said Thursday that it will replace the well-known signature script it has used since 1887 with a modern look that reflects its sharpened focus on pharmaceuticals and medical devices. More intense summer heat resulting from emissions-driven climate change means animal heat stress that can result in billions of dollars in lost revenue for farmers and ranchers if not properly managed. But technology often insulates livestock in richer countries — another way global warming exacerbates the gap between wealthy and poor nations. Their cows are already showing signs of improved welfare, like chewing more cud, and there's more heat ahead this summer. "We're going to do what's best by our cows no matter what is or isn't going on with climate change," said Megan McAllister, a sixth-generation dairy farmer. As part of his work with Kansas State, Redmond gives presentations to producers and the general public, and he said that climate change has come up in conversations.

CNN —Archaeologists have found an octagonal sword dating from more than 3,000 years ago at a burial site in the state of Bavaria, southern Germany. The sword is so well preserved that it still gleams, according to a statement from the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments. Bayerisches Landesamt für DenkmalpflegeIt was discovered last week at a site in Donau-Ries, and researchers believe it was left in the grave as a burial gift. The sword is thought to date to the end of the 14th century BCE, the Middle Bronze Age. A sword like this, with an octagonal handle made entirely from bronze, is a rare find, according to the statement.

ThredUp , the clothing-consignment company, announced Tuesday that it's dual listing its stock on the Long Term Stock Exchange, or LTSE, a national securities exchange designed to promote sustainable principles and a long-term focus among investors and businesses. Reinhart says he first read about the market a few years ago and started talks to list on the exchange over the past two years. The new stock exchange wants to "reverse the epidemic of short-term thinking," Ries told CNBC. There are more than a dozen stock exchanges in the U.S., but the majority of all trading occurs on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market, making it difficult for alternatives to gain traction. One other company, the communication platform Twilio , did list on LTSE but it delisted in 2022, citing cost concerns.

In Personal Board of Directors, top business leaders talk about the people they turn to for advice, and how those people have shaped their perspective and helped them succeed. Previous installments from the series are here. Eric Ries has spent the past two decades as a go-to mentor in Silicon Valley and the founder of a David-size stock exchange trying to take on twin Goliaths: Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange. But a “humiliating” startup failure at age 20 almost took him out of the game entirely.
But there's one group, almost unnoticed in the midst of the online firestorm, that has been cheering Musk on from the sidelines: other tech executives. To some founders, Musk is simply a monstrous version of the executive they wish they could be. Musk is getting rid of perks like free meals in the Twitter cafeteria — and other tech executives are taking note. Musk's slash-and-burn approach gives tech executives cover for making unpopular decisions. But now, as tech companies cut back to prepare for a recession, the "rough waters out there" have forced his staff to "reevaluate" their demands.
(CNN) To most people, the words Swiss sport and Emmental might trigger thoughts of Roger Federer eating cheese. Sending projectiles hurtling through the air at 200 miles per hour, all rise -- and then duck -- for Hornussen. Scoring starts if they reach the 100-meter line, with an additional point awarded for every 10 meters past the marker. "It's really dangerous if you don't see the Nouss or if one hits the bat and, two meters before the face, the Nouss changes direction," Kummer explained. Around 260 teams are active across a multi-league pyramid in Switzerland, with the top teams fighting it out for the Swiss Championship.
Dude Wipes expanded into deodorant and body wash — something the brand now says was the wrong move. In 2019, the founders of Dude Wipes took what they thought was a major step forward: They extended their brand from solely toilet wipes into body wash and deodorant. So far, Dude Products has eschewed most investors. When COVID struck, demand for the brand's signature Dude Wipes took off. "When the toilet-paper rush happened, everybody's buying as many Dude Wipes as they can get from us," Riley said.
