It’s the latest example of Harris’ campaign drawing sharper distinctions with Trump in the presidential race’s closing weeks, using the former president’s own words and those of his former aides to cast him as dangerous and unstable. In Erie on Monday, Harris will highlight Trump’s comments Sunday on Fox News, when he said he isn’t worried about his supporters’ actions on Election Day. Harris on Monday plans to warn that Trump’s actions could put people’s freedom at risk. Harris’ campaign will also release a new ad, dubbed “Enemy Within,” which features Trump repeatedly invoking the phrase “the enemy from within” on the campaign trail. “The enemy within are people that Kamala Harris let into this country, unvetted, unchecked and undocumented.”During her event Monday, Harris also plans to show attendees in Erie what Trump rallies are like, the aide said.

The fight over Wisconsin — considered a must-win for Harris as part of Democrats’ so-called blue wall — could tilt the election. Tim Walz has re-energized staff members in the state, a campaign official told NBC News. With more than 200 staffers statewide, the Harris campaign touts 48 offices across Wisconsin, including some in smaller, more rural areas that Trump won in 2020. But the Trump campaign is mounting its own effort in the state. An RNC official also said the Trump campaign and the Wisconsin GOP have more than 70 staff members and 40 offices across the state.

The SALT deduction allows tax payers to deduct up to $10,000 of property, sales or income taxes that have already been paid to state and local governments. Historically, most of the tax payers who claim the deduction reside in high tax states such as New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and California. There was no cap on SALT prior to the Trump tax bill. Some of those recent conversations have featured Trump's new stance on bringing back the full SALT deduction, despite his bill being the cause for the $10,000 cap. Rep.
