For decades, Big Tech companies have avoided responsibility for anything posted on their platforms. Generative AI is about to end this prized legal protection. Meta, Google, Microsoft, Amazon and even Apple have spent the last year rushing to roll out generative AI tools and models to compete with OpenAI. Generative AI models and tools, however, are developed, owned and operated by Big Tech companies.
