The best-selling country artists of all time include Elvis Presley, Tim McGraw, and Shania Twain. We used RIAA's data to compile this list based on total album units sold in the US. Only three artists on this list debuted in the 2000s: Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, and Rascal Flatts. In fact, two of the top three best-selling musicians of all time are country music artists: Elvis Presley and Garth Brooks. We used the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) list of best-selling artists, ranked by albums sold, to pick out the top 25 most successful country musicians of all time.

CNN —Romie Gallardo always knew the risks her son Carlin Dunne faced when he raced motorbikes. Carlin Dunne loved anything on two wheels -- BMX, mountain bikes, dirt bikes and street bikes. He was designed to ride that place.”According to his mother, Dunne was born with speed in his blood. I’m not in charge of your happiness and if you’re doing something that makes you happy then that’s all I can really ask for.’”The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb took place over a 12.42 mile course with 156 corners finishing at 14,110 feet at the summit of Pikes Peak. CNN's Don Riddell first interviewed Carlin Dunne just days before his death in 2019.

The first good thing about Rascal was his wiggling, leaping “You’re awake!” greeting at the start of every day. Because the second good thing about Rascal was his irrepressible joy. There is no gratitude like the gratitude of an animal rescued from a life of pain and fear and hunger. The third good thing about Rascal was his undimmed delight in what may have been the first real home he ever had. He turned laundry folding into a game of keep-away, and then a game of tug of war.

AdvertisementFlying nonstop from LA to Paris on Air France was a breezeI flew from LA to Paris on Thursday, May 9, and only had to take two days off work — not bad for a trip to Europe. Free wine on Air France with dinner and "Lord of the Rings" made the flight to Paris easy. We took an Uber to La Defense Arena, located northwest of the city center and about 15 minutes from our hotel. When the countdown appeared on the screen for Swift, we went to our actual seats, which were right outside the lounge, stage left.

Opinion | The Nature of Joy
  + stars: | 2023-06-26 | by ( Margaret Renkl | ) www.nytimes.com   time to read: +3 min
Joy is not a given in the natural world. The baby rabbit I watched cavorting in the pollinator garden was almost certainly born in the nest next to our backyard brush pile. I have seen no other survivor from that litter, and their mother is still the lone adult rabbit in the yard. I think the ever-present threat my wild neighbors live with must tell us something about the nature of joy. Follow The New York Times Opinion section on Facebook, Twitter (@NYTopinion) and Instagram.

My obsession is summed up pretty well by a tweet from @blagojevism: "George Santos is essentially a 19th-century character. Media depicting these characters found inspiration from real life: in a time before digital records and facial recognition, opportunity was everywhere. George Santos's brand of full-throated scammery is particularly American, something that belongs to this country as much as Abraham Lincoln and apple pie. The phrase "and if you believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you" comes from his legendary real-life method. But Santos, so far, has avoided jail time, giving him at least one leg up over the Yellow Kid.
For years, Argentine fans said that no matter how many Ballons d'Or and trophies Messi won with Barcelona, he could never match Maradona until he too lifted a World Cup. EMOTIONAL MESSIMany of the banners show Messi and Maradona together, some depicting the late No. And Messi himself has opened up emotionally to rally the team and nation after their shock defeat to Saudi Arabia. "For me, Messi has always felt and done his all for the national team, from his first game until now. "Messi has suffered from being a venerated star in Barcelona but often under attack here in Argentina."
The Tucker Carlson origin story

Tucker Carlson is remembered as a provocateur and gleeful contrarian by those who knew him in his early days. It was Tucker Carlson. (Note on style: Tucker Carlson and the members of his family are referred to here by their first names to avoid confusion.) In 1979, Richard Carlson married Patricia Swanson, heiress to the Swanson frozen foods empire that perfected the frozen Salisbury steak for hassle-free dinners. Tucker Carlson attended St. George’s School, a boarding school starting at age 14.
