New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is expected to miss multiple games with an oblique injury according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport. Carr was injured in the fourth quarter of the Saints’ 26-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. Carr has completed 70.3% of his passes for New Orleans (2-3) so far this season, the second-best mark of his career. The Saints scored 91 points in the first two weeks of the season but only 67 over the last three. The Saints' next two games are against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this upcoming Sunday, and the Denver Broncos the following Thursday.

NEUROPACENeuroPace (NPCE.O), founded in 1997, didn’t secure FDA approval for its brain implant to treat epilepsy until 2013. BLACKROCK NEUROTECHBlackrock Neurotech, established in 2008, has tested its brain implant in humans for almost two decades. The company had hoped to secure approval to commercialize the implant from the FDA by last year but is still working on it, according to the company.

A BCI is a system that deciphers brain signals and translates them into commands for external technologies, and several companies have successfully created devices with this capability. The device is called the Layer 7 Cortical Interface , and it's a brain implant that aims to help patients with paralysis operate digital devices using only neural signals. "I think that the brain is, in a lot of ways, the next frontier for modern medicine," he said.
