The stock prices of America’s largest health insurance providers — including Aetna owner CVS Health, Cigna and Humana — have also tumbled recently. As of Tuesday’s closing bell, the Dow had fallen 1,564 points since Dec. 4, with UnitedHealth Group accounting for 804 of those points. UnitedHealth Group is also the worst performer in the 30-stock index this month, with losses more than double those of the second-worst performer, Goldman Sachs. Once again, CVS, UnitedHealth Group, Cigna and Humana all rank as the worst performers, with double-digit losses of 18% to 25%. Those businesses have drawn widespread criticism in part because many of the biggest insurance providers, including UnitedHealth Group, Cigna and CVS, also own some of the largest such companies.

CNN —Nicole Kidman has officially clocked into the press tour for her latest film, “Babygirl,” and she’s dressed for business. On Monday evening, the actor — who plays a high-powered executive in Halina Reijn’s movie, out Christmas Day in the US — arrived at the Late Show with Stephen Colbert in a fitted black pinstriped suit with a double-breasted blazer. Kidman paired her pinstriped suit with a piece of official "Babygirl" merchandise. Thankfully for her, Kidman won’t be needing to apply for a real office job anytime soon. But dressed in her pinstriped suit she looks every bit the “Babygirl”-boss.

WASHINGTON — A massive defense policy bill on track to clear the House on Wednesday includes a ban on gender-affirming care for children of servicemembers — a provision that sparked opposition from the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee. The sweeping must-pass bill — known as the National Defense Authorization Act or NDAA — was negotiated between senior House and Senate lawmakers. “[B]lanketly denying health care to people who need it — just because of a biased notion against transgender people — is wrong,” Smith said in a statement Tuesday. The NDAA, which authorizes appropriations for the Defense Department and sets defense policies, expires at the end of the year. However, House and Senate negotiators couldn't reach agreement on "sufficient pro-life protections," the speaker's office said.

Jobseeker used sources like the World Population Review and U.S. News and Word Report to determine the countries in the ranking. Job seekers from Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, and Japan had the highest desire to relocate to the U.S. for work. "In Switzerland, employees benefit from shorter working hours, interesting vacation policies and a culture prioritizing work-life balance," Mansouri says. The study analyzed the paychecks of nearly 100,000 tip earners at full-service restaurants nationwide. In fact, consumers have said at least since this summer that they’re pulling back on how often they tip workers like waiters, hairstylists and drivers. And at full-service restaurants, tips averaged $21.48 per hour as of September, according to a report released Tuesday by the payments processor Toast. ADP found subminimum pay rules have indeed kept workers afloat at times when gratuities collapsed, just as the system is designed. But “as tips recovered, base wages fell quickly to pre-recession levels.

To say college football has never gotten their postseason right is an understatement. And, once again, despite what appears to be a successful expansion of the college football postseason in 2024, the powers that be have created a system that is exclusive, not inclusive. Ultimately, it’s a system that could shrink the world of college football in a way that, long term, will cost everyone. All any college football fan has wanted over the last 40 years is to create a better way to crown a champion. This college football committee fails on all three of those fronts.
