It’s been nearly 51 years since Billy Joel recorded the song “Piano Man” — five decades of performing and merchandise for all occasions. As Mr. Joel, 75, will perform his 150th show at Madison Square Garden, the final performance of his 10-year-residency, fans have been gearing up. Five decades of performing means a lot of T-shirts sold — more than 10 million, in the estimation of Claire Mercuri, a spokeswoman for Mr. Joel — and that’s just the count for licensed wear. The musician doesn’t have a favorite item — they’re all his “children,” Mr. Joel said, through Ms. Mercuri, which he also says when asked to pick his favorite song. School is back in session for the sweet, sometimes absurd British comedy “Sex Education,” which leans heavily into its streaming-series freedom to portray adolescent sex for what it generally is: awkward, mediocre, part of life. Expect close-ups of patchy pubic hair, belly rolls and many (many) penises — among other physical realities of sex that don’t typically appear in teen stories. Unlike other raunchy teen dramas, like the provocative “Skins” and “Euphoria,” “Sex Education” takes a normalizing, endearingly un-edgy and even occasionally musical approach to the birds and the bees (though the writers would probably choose a more clinical term). In the fourth and final season, now streaming on Netflix, Otis must navigate a new school alongside his effervescent best friend, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa). After the closure of Moordale Secondary School at the end of Season 3, they now face a social hurdle more daunting than trying to become popular: survival as the new kids.

When a pipe burst in the warehouse that contained the artworks of the painter Nachume Miller, flooding the storage facility with pools of water and destroying hundreds of drawings and paintings, it was a wake-up call for Miller’s son, Danny Miller. About 600 works were destroyed in the flood in January 2018 — a fraction of his left-behind artistry. Danny, the middle child of three sons, recovered as many soggy boxes as he could and stuck them in the trunk of his car. It wasn’t until more than two years later he would return to them. “When the pandemic hit it was like, OK, I actually have time,” Danny, 41, who runs a creative design agency, said in a recent interview.

A documentary, a coffee-table book, an international tour and an opera partnership will be some of the many homages to the Martha Graham Dance Company as it celebrates its 100th anniversary, starting this fall. In 1926, the pioneering choreographer Martha Graham, just 31, founded her dance company and school, while living and working out of a studio apartment in Midtown Manhattan. The company, America’s oldest dance troupe, has survived for nearly a century — a milestone it will commemorate with a three-season celebration, the company announced on Wednesday. “The company has been part of the American conversation for 100 years — we needed at least three seasons to dive in,” said Janet Eilber, the artistic director. “We want audiences to have new points of access to the classics of modern dance, so they can recognize it as something relevant to themselves and to our current times.”The lineup, which begins in September, will be broken into three parts, each with themes to “accentuate the eras that the company has been through,” Eilber said.
