The women’s individual race was set for 8 a.m., and the rescheduled men’s event for 10:45 a.m., the Olympics organizers said in a statement released before dawn on Wednesday. The threat of postponements has lingered over Olympics events in the Seine, the river that traverses Paris, and the organizers have backup dates for triathlons and marathon swim events. The men’s triathlon race was postponed on Tuesday after heavy rain over the weekend raised the level of dangerous bacteria in the river.
