Through 10 games this season, the former first-round pick has 2,070 passing yards with 10 total touchdowns and seven interceptions. In six years with the Giants, Jones has a 24-44-1 record with one postseason appearance in 2022 — his only winning season. The New Jersey native made six starts as a rookie in place of the injured Jones in 2023, totaling eight touchdowns and three interceptions while going 3-3. DeVito and the Giants will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, with both teams coming off their bye week.

CNN —James Van Der Beek is opening up about a health battle. The “Dawson’s Creek” alum told CNN in a statement Sunday that he has colorectal cancer. Van Der Beek, 47, added: “There’s reason for optimism, and I’m feeling good.”People magazine was first to report the news. In the United States, about 1 in 23 men and 1 in 25 women will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. Van Der Beek has six children with his wife Kimberly.

Yet this season he is on pace to produce marks in passer rating, air yards per attempt, yards per passing attempt, quarterback rating, passing yards and interceptions that are better than in either of his previous MVP campaigns, in 2019 and 2023. The Indianapolis Colts are benching quarterback Anthony Richardson in favor of veteran Joe Flacco, sources told ESPN. Richardson, 22, was the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Flacco, 39, has started two games for the Colts, who are 1-1 in those contests and 4-4 overall. In four appearances this season, Flacco has completed 65.7% of his passes for 716 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception. Despite their struggles at the quarterback position, the Colts remain in the hunt for a playoff spot in the AFC.
