None of the top five fantasy players coming into the season based on average draft position is in the top 48 in fantasy scoring. (The fantasy scoring numbers here are provided by TruMedia, and the average draft position statistics were compiled by Fantasy Pros.) Aaron Jones (15.7 fantasy ppg) has been a good pick but left early Sunday with a hip injury. The only bright spot for Las Vegas is rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who is 76th in fantasy scoring (13.3). Brian Thomas Jr. is 35th in fantasy scoring (16.2 ppg), which is second-best among rookie wide receivers behind only Malik Nabers.

The Los Angeles Rams will place wide receiver Puka Nacua on injured reserve with a right knee injury, head coach Sean McVay said Monday. Nacua, a second-year receiver, will miss at least four weeks before he is eligible to return. He was injured during the Rams’ 26-20 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. It is an aggravation of an injury Nacua had during the offseason, ESPN reported. Nacua joins three offensive linemen and defensive back Cobie Durant as Rams on the injury report after Week 1.

Watt for AP Defensive Player of the Year. First-place votes are worth five points, second-place votes are three and third-place votes are one. Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. won the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award, outgaining both Jalen Carter and Kobie Turner by two first-place votes. INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua returned for the start of the second half of Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns after he missed part of the second quarter due to a rib injury. Nacua made a leaping grab for a 20-yard reception with 8:10 remaining when he landed hard on the right side of his body on the Browns' sideline. Nacua has dealt with rib issues throughout the season but has managed to play through them. He had four receptions for 105 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown in the first quarter. He went over 1,000 yards receiving during the quarter and is the first Rams rookie receiver to top that threshold in a season.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua set the NFL single-game record for most receptions by a rookie with 15 catches for 147 yards in Sunday's 30-23 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Nacua broke the record with a 17-yard reception late in the fourth quarter. Nacua, a fifth-round pick out of BYU, also became the first rookie to have double-digit receptions in his first two games. He had 10 receptions for 119 yards in last week's 30-13 win at Seattle. Nacua's 25 receptions are also a new overall league mark for a rookie in his first two games.
