A Michigan man was arrested on Monday on murder charges related to the fatal shooting of two people in a dormitory at the University of Colorado campus in Colorado Springs, the police said.
Nicholas Jordan, 25, of Detroit, who was enrolled at the university, was arrested in Colorado Springs on first degree murder charges in the shooting of another student, Samuel Knopp, 24, of Parker, Colo., and Celie Rain Montgomery, 26, of Pueblo, Colo., the Colorado Springs Police Department said on Monday in a series of statements on X.Mr. Jordan was being held on $1 million bond in El Paso County jail and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, records show.
The police said that the investigation was ongoing and that the people involved knew each other.
They did not provide a motive or other details.
