Philadelphia CNN —Tech billionaire and Trump ally Elon Musk is trying to move a lawsuit over his $1 million giveaway to voters into federal court, short-circuiting a required appearance Thursday at a Pennsylvania court. Lawyers for the Tesla CEO filed a “motion of removal” in federal court late Wednesday night. The parties will now continue pressing their case in federal court. Foglietta said he’s available later Thursday or Friday if the federal judge sends the case back to state court. Musk endorsed Trump in July and has donated $118 million to his super PAC.

Philadelphia CNN —Dozens of Black motorcyclists drove through north and west Philadelphia over the weekend with a simple message for Black men: Go vote. Younger Black men have received increased attention from the Harris campaign in recent days. Since January, Black Men Vote has been reaching out to its target audience in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where the group says it has registered more than 100,000 Black men to vote. Black Men Vote has also partnered with barbers, who they’ve trained as voting ambassadors to talk to clients about civic engagement. Ninety-two percent of Black voters in the state backed the president, including 89% of Black men and 94% of Black women, according to CNN exit polls.

Philadelphia CNN —President Joe Biden plans to launch a nationwide effort to mobilize Black voters during a campaign rally in Philadelphia on Wednesday, aiming to win back support from a slice of the electorate that polls show wavering in support. Biden’s aides say they aren’t taking Black voters for granted as surveys suggest an erosion of support, particularly among Black men. Many polls have found Black voters more disconnected from the Democratic Party than they have been in decades. He’s also dialed into Black radio programs and touted issues like infrastructure investments and canceling student debt when promoting his record to Black voters. Philadelphia CNN —Tyrique Glasgow’s life has always revolved around his South Philadelphia neighborhood, and gun violence has always been a part of it. At 15, he got sucked into street life – selling drugs and eventually controlling a specific block of his neighborhood. Three years ago, Glasgow opened a community center that’s become a source of support for the whole neighborhood. Now, on the block where he once sold drugs, he provides food, necessities, and resources to hundreds of local residents every week. But there’s a coalition that’s trying to change the name.
