Electric vehicle startup Lucid Group is counting on its upcoming Gravity SUV to assist the automaker in a "significant increase" in sales volumes to narrow the company's losses, according to CEO Peter Rawlinson. The Gravity is Lucid's second vehicle following the Air sedan, which the luxury EV manufacturer has been selling in relatively small numbers since late 2021. Lucid on Tuesday said customer ordering for the first Gravity model, called the Grand Touring, will open Nov. 7 on the carmaker's website. Other models are expected to follow, including an entry-level $79,900 Gravity Touring trim late next year. New York CNN —A class action lawsuit filed Tuesday alleges that RTX Corporation, the multinational aerospace and defense systems giant formerly known as Raytheon Technologies, has been discriminating against job seekers who are 40 years or older. The ads that refer to “Recent Graduate Positions” indicate that applicants should either have graduated from college or graduate school very recently or have no more than 12 or 24 months of related work experience. While the positions may be lower level, they are not necessarily low paying, with salary ranges that can run north of $100,000. We believe these claims are entirely without merit and we will actively defend our hiring practices,” company spokesman Chris Johnson told CNN. Between 2019 and 2023, Goldstein applied to at least seven of Raytheon’s recent graduate positions for which he met all the qualifications save those requiring the newness of his degrees or the short duration of work experience.

Despite an interest rate cut expected this week, profits at a handful of major European banks will remain robust, according to Berenberg. The European Central Bank appears on course to cut interest rates this week, the first reduction since 2019, despite a higher-than-expected inflation print . However, European banks underperformed their global peers over the past decade as the European Central Bank kept interest rates below or near zero until 2022. The investment bank's analyst also pointed out that European banks are currently trading at a 20% discount to their long-run average valuation despite improvements in their balance sheets and returns. According to Berenberg, historical data shows that European banks only traded below current valuations for 6% of the time between 1988 and 2020.
