Known as the Przewalski’s horse, the short, stocky, zebra-like animal once roamed throughout Europe and Asia. In 1969, a Mongolian scientist made what some thought would be the last ever sighting of a Przewalski’s horse in the wild. However, over the past 40 years, the breeding of captive populations and reintroductions in Europe and Asia have brought the Przewalski’s horse back from the brink.

For instance, if most people click on the third result for a particular query, Google's search engine will likely adjust and rank that result higher in the future. They know that the search business is mainly about distribution, and Google may not be able to do this now. Sporting two impressive horns, the black rhino, which weighs up to 1,350 kilograms (3,000 pounds), isn’t really black at all. Much like the “white” rhino, it’s a muddy-gray color. Consistent hunting and land clearance throughout the early and mid 20th century reduced the black rhino population to an estimated 100,000 by 1960. A ban on black rhino trade, the expansion and stricter protection of their home ranges, and relocation programs involving unusual methods, have resulted in a remarkable recovery. According to the IUCN, 6,421 black rhinos were recorded across the continent in 2024.

Automattic founder, Matt Mullenweg Source: AutomatticMatt Mullenweg, who turned 40 in January, has now spent more than half his life working on WordPress. Silicon Valley private equity firm Silver Lake bought a majority stake in WP Engine in 2018, investing $250 million and obtaining three board seats. WordPress took the drastic step of banning WP Engine from using the WordPress resources necessary to serve its customers, which preceded a lawsuit filed on Wednesday by WP Engine against Mullenweg and Automattic. In the post, Mullenweg criticized WP Engine for not contributing enough back to the WordPress ecosystem. A Silver Lake spokesperson said WP Engine was handling all inquiries.
