HomeGoods has a ton of variety, but it's hard to find consistent candle quality. Paynter RhedThe candle aisle at HomeGoods is my favorite in the whole store. But as fun as the section is to peruse, the wide variety of brands, shapes, and scents can be a mixed bag. I've found that many candles I've bought at the chain either don't burn very well or lose their scent pretty quickly despite seeming amazing in the store. These candles are good in a pinch — and you might get lucky with a great one — but I'd rather spend more money and buy something high quality from an actual candle store.

Throw pillows easily freshen up a space. The throw pillows at HomeGoods come in a variety of colors. Paynter RhedOne inexpensive way to freshen up any space is by adding some new throw pillows. I even have a closet full of throw pillows because I enjoy changing them out for holidays or seasons. I've heard people say there's no such thing as having too many blankets, but I'm guilty of using that logic when it comes to throw pillows.

I didn't find the bedding at Ikea to be that desirable. In my opinion, most of the bedding I came across didn't feel very soft to the touch. Paynter RhedI wouldn't always generalize a whole department of a store as something I'd skip over but, in my opinion, the bedding at Ikea is not very desirable. I found the sheets, comforters, pillows, and blankets I came across weren't the quality I look for in bedding. Consider purchases like these carefully since you can spend about a quarter of your day in bed.
