Silicon Valley venture capital firm General Catalyst has made its first investment in Saudi Arabia through fintech startup Lean Technologies, which just closed a Series B round worth $67.5 million. General Catalyst has $30 billion in assets under management and has backed major U.S. tech companies like Snap , Stripe and AirBnb . Nov 3(Reuters) - Information Technolgy Consultant Gartner Inc (IT.N) beat third-quarter results estimates on Friday and nudged up its annual earnings forecast, as it benefits from stable demand for its research and consulting services. The Stamford, Connecticut-based company also upgraded its annual earnings forecast and now expects revenue of $5.89 billion, up from its prior forecast of $5.85 billion. Gartner expects adjusted earnings for the year to be $10.9 per share, up 90 cents per share from its previous projection. The company's core research business saw a nearly 6% jump in revenue to $1.22 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30. Gartner earned $2.56 per share on an adjusted basis in the three months ended Sept. 30, beating analyst estimates of $1.96 per share.

Amazon is unveiling its first buy now, pay later checkout option for the millions of small business owners who use its online store, CNBC learned exclusively. The tech giant confirmed Thursday that its partnership with Affirm is expanding to include Amazon Business, the e-commerce platform that caters to companies. "We constantly hear from small businesses that say they need payment solutions to manage their cash flow," Todd Heimes, director of Amazon Business Worldwide, said in an interview. "We offer the ability to use credit cards and to pay by invoice; this is another option available to small business customers to pay over time." Amazon Business was launched in 2015 after the company realized businesses were using its popular retail website for office supplies and bulk purchases.

Aug 1 (Reuters) - Gartner (IT.N) raised its annual profit forecast after beating quarterly earnings estimates on Tuesday, on steady demand for research and consulting services in a tough economy. A dominant player in the data and analytics market, Gartner expects its full-year adjusted earnings per share to be $10, compared with its prior forecast of $9.50. Gartner's mainstay research business saw a near 6% jump in revenue to $1.21 billion, while the consulting business reported an almost 5% rise to $126 million. Still, the company lowered its full-year revenue forecast by about $50 million to $5.85 billion, citing weakness in its non-subscription research business. On an adjusted basis, Gartner earned $2.85 per share in the three months to June 30, compared with analysts' estimate of $2.51 per share profit.

In 2021, new startup support centers Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City were announced. It ranked third in terms of deal count in Southeast Asia, and fourth in deal value last year, the report said. Notably, domestic funds were the top investors in local startups last year, accounting for 45% of total deal value. The crypto exchange will be changing the provider for euro deposits and withdrawals through the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), while the current partner — Paysafe — will no longer be providing these services to Binance users, the report said, citing Binance's spokesperson.
