Other, less widely known features also appear: Many of the sculptures on the Acropolis were painted in striking colors.
Tech giant like Meta and Apple are pushing into VR headsets that can cost thousands of dollars.
“Accessibility is extending to the digital space,” Mendoni said at a preview launch event for the Chronos app in May.
“Real visitors and virtual visitors anywhere around the world can share historical knowledge.”Developed by Greek telecoms provider Cosmote, the free app's designers say they hope to build on existing features that include an artificial intelligence-powered virtual guide, Clio.
