Bank of Baroda will be allowed to onboard customers to its bob World app only after rectifying certain deficiencies, the RBI said on Tuesday, without giving any details about the issues. Bob World app has 8.1 million daily transactions, while 43% of time deposits are obtained through the app, the bank had said in its quarterly presentation in August. Shares of Bank of Baroda have underperformed the PSU bank index for the year so far, rising 12% compared to nearly 20% in the index.

One large hydro power company would help meet high demand at night when solar projects do not run, he said. We are thinking whether these hydro companies can come together as a hydro large PSU. Then it becomes a specialised hydro company," Power and Renewable Energy Minister Singh said in an interview on Monday. The power ministry's proposal to create a single company is aimed at better management and expertise, besides reducing costs and managing related challenges.

MUMBAI, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Indian banks' exposure to the Adani Group is within manageable limits, said brokerage houses CLSA and Jefferies, as the group fend off an attack from well-known short-seller Hindenburg Research. For public sector banks (PSU), the debt is at 0.7% of total loans and for private banks, it is at 0.3%. Indian banks have exposure to less than 40% of total group debt, the brokerage estimates. "Within this, private banks' exposure is below 10% of total group debt and most banks have indicated that they have largely financed assets with strong cash flows, such as airports/ports," CLSA said. While PSU banks have material exposure at 30% of group debt, this level has not increased in the past three years, CLSA said.
