A security guard has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder charge in the death of a 32-year-old man he is accused of shooting at a hookah lounge early Sunday, police in Texas said. Teddy Lee Mills is accused of shooting Day’shaun Colen shortly after 2 a.m. at the Bravo Hookah Lounge in Abilene, where Mills was working a private security detail and Colen was a would-be patron, police said. Mills, who had a firearm, and another unarmed security guard were at the door, according to the complaint. Mills also told officers that Colen said he was “gonna get him” and that when the crowd was pushing in, he felt “them” grab his Taser. The Bravo Hookah Lounge in Abilene, Texas.

A blue-chip artist represented by the mega-gallery Gagosian, he founded a farm called Sky High that donates 100 percent of its food to local pantries in upstate New York. Once things had settled down, they began reading up on “everything about having a baby in the wilderness” in order to be able to take on the Continental Divide Trail with their newborn. But having to carry a newborn along with them didn’t slow this hiking family down at all. In fact, they were able to complete Continental Divide Trail in six months, a month less time than the Appalachian Trail had taken them.

CNN —Citing a series of recent aviation safety incidents, the head of the Federal Aviation Administration has ordered a sweeping review of the agency. “We are experiencing the safest period in aviation history, but we cannot take this for granted,” Billy Nolen, the acting FAA administrator, wrote in a memo. One focus of the safety review team will be determining “whether there are other incidents that resemble ones we have seen in recent weeks.” It will also look at ways to better integrate the FAA’s air traffic control arm into the agency’s broader safety efforts.
