I sailed on Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Breakaway this year, which were built 14 years apart. Breakaway provides more modern amenities and dining options than the older and tinier Sky. While I have yet to experience the company's extremely attraction-heavy Norwegian Prima class, I have sailed on the more bare-bones Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Breakaway. Breakaway launched in 2013 and is tied as Norwegian's sixth biggest ship at about 145,600 gross tons. But at twice the size of Sky, it has modern attractions and plentiful dining that offer a fair amount of added fun that the tinier ship lacks.

CNN —The words “Titanic moment” are possibly the last thing you want to hear on a boat – but that was the phrase used by one passenger on board the Carnival Spirit cruise ship last week, after the vessel unexpectedly struck an iceberg. Videos of the incident circulated on social media in the aftermath, as multiple passengers filmed the moment the ship collided with the iceberg. The Carnival Spirit finished its seven-day Alaska cruise on Tuesday without interruption, returning to Seattle, Washington. Alaska’s waters are also known as some of the most challenging for cruise ships to navigate. “Today’s cruise ships are specifically built to sail a number of different waters,” Gray Faust told CNN Travel.

However, the bulk of Magnificent Seven results is set for release in the week ahead. As it is, all seven of the Magnificent Seven companies closed out the week with losses. FOMC meeting, July jobs report Elsewhere, investors will also be reviewing the latest Federal Reserve interest rate decision set for release on Wednesday. Traders will also get insight into the labor market next week, with the release of the July jobs report on Friday.
