Jumping the pondThe NHL Global Series is not new.
In February, the NHL will host its first-ever 4 Nations Face-Off, an international event where league players from Canada, Sweden, Finland and the U.S. will play for their native countries.
In 2026, NHL players are planning to participate in the Olympics for the first time since 2014.
The hope is that increasing exposure for NHL players on a global stage will be a tailwind for the league.
