China's consumer price index for January is expected to fall 0.5% year-on-year, while the Reserve Bank of India is forecast to hold rates at 6.5%.
Japan's Nikkei 225 is also set to rise, with the futures contract in Chicago at 36,375 and its counterpart in Osaka at 36,280 against the index's last close of 36,119.92.
However, futures for Hong Kong's Hang Seng index stood at 16,024, pointing to a weaker open compared with the HSI's last close of 16,081.89.
