Laura KusistoLaura Kusisto is the national legal affairs reporter for The Wall Street Journal, where she leads the paper’s abortion coverage and also focuses on transgender issues, voting rights, religious liberty and state courts.
Laura led a team of reporters who received the 2022 Newswomen's Club of New York's award for breaking news for coverage of the fall of Roe v. Wade and in 2020 was a co-recipient of the Newswomen’s Club’s Nellie Bly award for a story about fatal errors in New York's coronavirus response.
During her time at the Journal, Laura also has covered the U.S. housing market and economic development in New York.
