Vice President Kamala Harris wore a plum-hued pussy-bow shirt to speak with 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker. A slew of newly employed women in the ‘70s and ‘80s agreed, and the pussy-bow blouse’s sudden ubiquity in offices cemented it as a symbol of corporate, second-wave feminism. U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon on Friday granted James Cromitie, 58, compassionate release from prison six months after she ordered the release of his three co-defendants, known as the Newburgh Four, for similar reasons. The four men from the small river city 60 miles (97 kilometers) north of New York City were convicted of terrorism charges in 2010. The New York-based judge ordered Cromitie’s sentence to be reduced to time served plus 90 days. Critics have accused federal agents of entrapping a group men who were down on their luck after doing prison time. Tuten was penalized for failing to properly replace his ball en route to a birdie at the par-five 15th hole. Former PGA Tour player James Nitties described the incident as “heartbreaking.”“It makes me sick as a past player,” Nitties said on the Golf Channel broadcast. The Georgia-born golfer has played 132 tournaments on the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Latinoamérica since turning professional in 2015, winning once, and ends the season as world No. Eighteen of the graduates are PGA Tour rookies, including brothers Parker and Pierceson Coody, who became only the second twins in history to attain simultaneous PGA Tour membership status after Allan and Curtis Strange in 1981.

The story seemed tailor-made for opponents of outsiders. “VETS KICKED OUT FOR MIGRANTS,” blared the front page of The New York Post, one of many outlets that last week carried the tale of homeless military veterans’ being expelled from their temporary hotel rooms north of New York City so that people coming from the Mexican border could stay there. The sensational story grew out of claims by a veterans advocacy group and was immediately seized upon by local Republican elected officials. It began unraveling when reporters could not locate any displaced veterans. It fell apart further when managers of the Crossroads Hotel in Newburgh, N.Y., said they had no record of the veterans’ staying there.
The viral story about New York veterans getting kicked out of a New York hotel was a hoax, the Mid Hudson News reported. Seven homeless men say they were part of a group of 15 who were supposed to act as vets to keep up the scheme. On May 12, the New York Post first reported that 20 homeless veterans were forced out of the Crossroads Hotel in Newburgh to make room for migrants the federal government was sending to New York. A graphics expert who works at the Mid Hudson News noticed the receipt appeared to have been doctored. The job came with a promise of $200 in addition to food and alcohol, Mid Hudson News reported.
