M-a marcat enorm imaginea fratelui meu de zece ani care, cu cuţitul în mână, striga că dacă tata o mai atinge pe mama, îl omoară. Și atunci mama a înţeles că până aici e, că mai departe urmează o linie roşie peste care nu se mai poate trece. Dacă era treaz, ne lăsa cadouri pe care mama a doua zi i le trimitea înapoi. Natalia povestește că nu a fost prezentă la înmormântarea tatălui său, nu a știut că murise. Era o nelinişte inexplicabilă în sufletul meu, am inventat repede că mă doare un rinichi şi că trebuie să vin urgent la Chişinău pentru o consultaţie.
