CNN —Shipwreck hunters have found the vessel Quest — once captained by renowned Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton — largely intact on the ocean floor, 15 nautical miles off the coast of Canada, the Royal Canadian Geographical Society has announced. Quest carries not only the history of his voyages, but potentially artifacts from expeditions that continued until 1962, when the vessel sank, experts say. Quest sank on May 5, 1962, after being crushed by ice in the Labrador Sea off of Canada, according to the news release. As far as signs of trouble in a company go, a hole blowing through the wall of one of its airplanes at 16,000 feet is not subtle. So it was not a surprise that the Boeing chief executive, Dave Calhoun, spent most of the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call on Wednesday focused on safety. “We caused the problem, and we understand that,” he said of the Jan. 5 incident. Mr. Calhoun said the company had instituted additional quality controls and paused production for a day to focus on safety and quality. Fixing that may require more drastic measures.

Louise Johnson, CEO of sports and entertainment marketing firm Fuse, is no stranger to a crisis. "During the first lockdown, I read Nancy Koehn's book, 'Forged in Crisis,'" she explained. "It looked at five leaders in crisis, and one of them was Abraham Lincoln," she said. During the stresses of the pandemic, she found the quote highly motivating. "I had such a personal and professional responsibility to weather this storm to protect all of our employees," she said.
