If there's no connecting flight to your destination on the day itself, Korean Air includes a free night's stay at the five-star Grand Hyatt Incheon. Korean Air offered us a free new flight to Australia — a week later. We took a 1.5-hour flight to the beach town of Krabi, where we spent a week at the ShellSea Krabi resort.

Pedestrians walk past food stalls and shops in the Myeongdong shopping district of Seoul on March 26, 2024. South Korea's consumer inflation cooled more than forecast in September and below the central bank's target for the first time since early 2021, amid growing expectations of an imminent policy easing. The consumer price index rose 1.6% in September from a year earlier, after a rise of 1.9% in August, data from Statistics Korea showed on Wednesday. It was weaker than a median 1.9% increase tipped in a Reuters poll of economists and marked the weakest annual increase since February 2021. The reading was below the Bank of Korea's medium-term target of 2% and comes amid growing talk among policymakers and market participants about an imminent interest rate cut with the next policy meeting scheduled for Oct. 11.

REUTERS/Kim Hong-JiSEOUL, March 2 (Reuters) - South Korea's government on Thursday promised to boost exports and attract tourists as the country's statistics agency released January data that showed gloomy prospects for the economy. Reflecting the sense of urgency within the government, South Korea's trade minister convened a separate emergency meeting of officials from almost all ministries to press for more exports. South Korea's official forecast is for exports to drop 4.5% in 2023 compared with last year. South Korea's trade-reliant economy contracted by an estimated 0.4% in the fourth quarter of 2022 from the previous quarter as exports collapsed.
"We had such a hard time, and I would rather have more Chinese people come than the government restricting their entry so I can do business." "Tour bus operators who have had their vehicles idly parked for over three years are now gearing up for (bus) inspections," said Thai Tour Bus Association President Wasuchet Sophonsatien. Thailand, Japan, the United States, South Korea, Australia, Macao, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan were the most-searched destinations. Yue Hua Entertainment Korea, which manages Tempest, did not respond to a request for comment. "The pandemic outbreak on the mainland is still vigorous and needs time to recover, while domestic consumption remains weak on the mainland."

REUTERS/Kim Hong-Ji/FilesSEOUL, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Usually glitzy and buzzing in the holiday season, South Korea's popular Itaewon night-life district looks like a ghost town this year, as people still mourning 158 killed in a Halloween crowd crush go elsewhere for festivities. "It's not Christmas yet, but I guess Christmas won't be so different." "That might mean that we won't be able to fully enjoy the Christmas atmosphere this year."
