The recalled carrots were shipped by Grimmway Farms to distribution centers in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, and sold under multiple different labels, including Trader Joe's, Wegmans, Bunny-luv, Nature's Promise, Simple Truth and 365. Grimmway Farms has shared pictures of all the labels in question for customer awareness. While they are no longer being sold in stores, Grimmway Farms is warning customers who may still have them in their fridges to throw them away. For "Ice Age" movie franchise fans, the description of the saber-toothed cat might sound familiar. The character Diego, a saber-toothed tiger, has very similar traits to the 35,000-year-old cub.

Former Massachusetts Air National Guard member Jack Teixeira was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years for stealing classified information from the Pentagon and sharing it online, the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts announced. According to court documents, Teixeira transcribed classified documents that he then shared on Discord, a social media platform mostly used by online gamers. Teixeira entered the Air National Guard in 2019 and held the rank of airman first class. He was based at Otis Air National Guard Base on Cape Cod, where he was assigned as a cyber transport systems journeyman. While the documents were discovered online in March 2023, Teixeira had been sharing them online since January of that year, according to prosecutors.

Ryan Borgwardt — a married father of two — went missing on Aug. 12 and his last known location was Green Lake, Green Lake County Sheriff Mark Podoll said during a news briefing Friday. Deputies found a capsized kayak in the lake and Borgwardt's vehicle and trailer parked in Dodge Memorial County Park, Podoll said. An 18-year-old New York state employee was killed while battling a wildfire in Orange County's Sterling Forest Saturday. Dariel Vasquez, an aid working for the New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Department, was helping mitigate the forest fire when he was killed, New York State Police said in a statement. “I am deeply saddened by the passing of one of our New York State Parks employees while responding to a wildfire in Orange County yesterday," Gov. One person is dead and "several" were injured after a homecoming weekend shooting at Tuskegee University in Alabama early Sunday morning. In a statement, the university said "a non-university individual" was killed and several others, including students, were injured in the shooting. The injured victims were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Tuskegee University did not share any details about the shooting, adding that the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident. It is not clear if there are any suspects in custody in connection with the shooting at this time.

A Federal Emergency Management Agency employee was fired after recently advising a disaster relief team to not visit homes with yard signs that support President-elect Donald Trump. FEMA did not clarify where the incident happened, or when, and the employee has not been identified. The wife of an Illinois judge was arrested and charged with fatally shooting her husband, according to Illinois State Police. Megan Valentine, 44 of Albion, was arrested Tuesday after the body of Illinois Second Judicial Circuit Court Judge Michael J. Valentine was found outside of a home, per a news release from police. She was charged with first degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated domestic battery, according to court documents filed in Edwards County Thursday. He served as second circuit judge since 2022. Previously, he was elected to serve as a circuit judge in 2016, and also served as Edwards County State's Attorney.

Israel announced Sunday that it carried out a special ground operation in Syria "in recent months," according to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces. The IDF also say they detained an "Iranian terror network operative" during the mission, who they identified as Ali Soleiman al-Assi. The ministry added that the strikes hit a military site in Hama and a car assembly plant in Hassia. Syrian state television also reported that the strikes hit vehicles loaded with medical and relief supplies and ignited a large fire in the area. Video shows that Newcastle Elementary School in the Oklahoma City metro area sustained major damage, including tiling that fell off of the building's facade. It's not clear whether they were injured as a result of the tornadoes or the heavy rainfall, but the fire department said they responded to several vehicles that had been flooded. Most of Oklahoma remains under flood watch with a threat of heavy rainfall and over 51,000 utility customers do not have power as of 10:30 a.m.

Six people are dead and three seriously injured in Louisville, New York after a crash on Saturday involving a 2021 Freightliner box truck and a 2013 express bus, according to New York State Police. Police responded to the fatal accident on State Highway 37 at around 6:02 a.m. All the victims were aboard the express bus, police said in a news release. Of the three injured, one is in critical condition and two are "seriously injured." A shooting in the Beverly Crest neighborhood of Los Angeles early Saturday morning has claimed the lives of at least three people and injured four, according to police. Beverly Crest is approximately 2 miles north of Beverly Hills. Calls about a multi-victim shooting in the 2700 block of Ellison Drive came in around 2:30 a.m, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement. The shooting took place during a party, NBC Los Angeles reported. Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to come forward.
