Attorneys for some defendants also suggested Trump’s victory was unfair in light of the fact that rioters are still being prosecuted and sentenced. Talk of potential presidential pardons permeated at least one violent rioter’s sentencing Thursday, when Zachary Alam told a judge he had no remorse for his actions. I want a full pardon.”“Instead of pardons of innocence, some January 6ers should receive pardons of patriotism,” Alam added. US District Judge Dabney Friedrich, a Trump appointee, later said Alam was “delusional” to think that his actions on January 6 were patriotic. Alam was convicted on multiple felony and misdemeanor counts stemming from his participation in the Capitol attack.

Tim Burton’s macabre world and its enduring allure

Despite making films for over 40 years, Tim Burton’s visual style — a signature blend of light and dark — continues to defy neat description. Burton devoured everything from horror films to Ray Harryhausen animations, science fiction B movies and Japanese Kaiju monster films. Beyond Hollywood, Burton’s work has been inspiring the world of fashion for decades. The late Alexander McQueen’s Fall-Winter 2002 show, ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,’ featured a now-iconic Batman-esque parachute cape inspired by Burton’s work. "Territory" is a new Netflix drama series about the fight for a cattle station in Australia. Here's everything we know about a potential season 2. Netflix's answer to "Yellowstone" has arrived in the form of a new drama series with sweeping views of Australia and a family's fight to preserve their legacy. With comparisons to successful shows like "Yellowstone" and "Succession," and a solid debut on Netflix, "Territory" could have longevity on the streamer. The finale ends with Colin giving Graham and Emily the keys to the house, alluding to them becoming the new successors — meaning there's plenty more to explore in a potential season two.

Michelle Panning, a relationship coach, documented herself trying "rejection therapy" for 30 days. While not an officially recognized form of therapy, 2 therapists said it's a form of exposure therapy. It inspired Panning to try it herself, documenting a 30-day rejection therapy challenge on her TikTok channel. While "rejection therapy" isn't a research-backed form of therapy (it was originally coined as the name of a card game by developer Jason Comely), both Goldberg and Farina said that gradual exposure to rejection can help build confidence. She did it in the name of rejection therapy, a popular trend on social media that encourages people to ask strangers odd requests that will most likely get a “no” in response. Here’s what Wilmer and other experts have to say about this social media trend and how to ensure these challenges are beneficial and not harmful. Jiang had blogged about himself performing rejection therapy for 100 days after being inspired by a card game Canadian entrepreneur Jason Comey originally developed. At the beginning of the challenge Panning felt she had to hype herself up and brace herself for the answer she thought would come. And while many of her requests resulted in rejection, Panning said she was surprised to find that sometimes strangers would instead say yes.
